Becky graduated from James Madison University in May 2014 with a degree in Media Arts & Design and a minor in Music Industry. She specializes in music, sports, and event photography, as well as graphic and web design.
Becky’s love for photography began as a hobby in high school and developed into a lifestyle when she joined JMU’s newspaper publication her sophomore year. Her passion for music photography began by attending concerts as a fan. Since 2008 Becky has been to over 150 concerts and has photographed artists such as Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, P!nk, Carrie Underwood, and Ke$ha from the front row.
Currently, she is pursuing a career in the music/entertainment industry in the field of photography, digital marketing or graphic/web design. Her ultimate goal is to go out on tour with a musical artist, using photography to document the entire touring experience.
Becky's work has been published in Modern Luxury: DC Magazine, JMU's newspaper The Breeze, JMU's yearbook The Bluestone, JMU's student survival guide Madison 101, jmusports.com, and on Kesha's Wikipedia page.
Six of her photographs are published in Taylor Swift: This Is Our Song, a Simon & Schuster publication.
"Ten years ago, an unknown sixteen-year-old released a self-titled debut country album. A decade later, Taylor Swift has reached record-breaking, chart-topping heights.
Amazingly, after all these years, there is no great, comprehensive book about Swift for her fans. Until now. This book, a fan-generated celebration of Swift’s first decade as an artist, collects the best writing and images from the past ten years in one gorgeous volume."
"Becky has been a part of the Boxer Show team since May 2013. Becky has shown qualities that truly don't come across our desk every day. Becky has proven to us through her dedication to the show that she can take on any challenge thrown her way and succeed! She also possesses a very creative, aggressive side to getting things done. Her secret talent is photography - she's amazing! I recommend Becky to any employer searching for an individual with an excellent work ethic, a positive attitude, and a stern drive to excel at what they're doing."
— Brandon "Boxer" Nasby, Supervisor at Clear Channel Communications
"Becky went above and beyond her duties to better the organization and make events run smoothly. She designed clear, easy to read maps to be used during events. Not only did Becky create great designs but she took amazing pictures during most of our events. Her photography skills are amazing. It was such a pleasure to work with Becky and watch her grow throughout the year."
— Kelsey Creech, Graphic Design Director at The University Program Board of James Madison University
"[Becky] has been very valuable, she’s one of the best sports shooters I’ve had in a long time. She’s got a great eye and a good feel for what’s going on in the game. She’s always looking for something different, not just the basic action shot.”
— Cathy Kushner, Director of Athletics Photography at James Madison University
